What is the cancellation policy?
A full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee will be provided to students who cancel their registration before 5 pm (eastern time), on the 14th day before the first day of the course. No refunds will be given after this time.
In the event that the minimum number of students for a particular course has not been met, the course will be cancelled and all paid-in-full students will receive a full refund.
Are meals and lodging included in my course fee?
No. Unless specifically stated, lodging and meals are not included in the course fee. Each student is responsible for their own lodging and meals. Click here to go to the lodging page.
Where is my course taught?
Check your individual course description for the classroom location. Click Here for the course locations page for directions and maps. All classroom instruction will be in a comfortable semi-formal setting. Remember, this is a wilderness medicine class and we will be outside for a good portion of the time. Pack and dress for the weather.
What time should I be there on the first day?
Unless otherwise stated in your course description courses begin at 8 a.m. and finish at 6 p.m. These are intensive course and 100% attendance is required to receive certification. Plan to be at the classroom location 15-30 minutes early on the first day.
Do the courses have pre-requisites?
The Wilderness First Aid course has no pre-requisites. Other courses may have pre-course requirements. Please check your individual course description.
Will I have homework?
Yes, be prepared for homework. TMO Wilderness Medical Instruction incorporates both classroom and hands on training and student evaluations. There will be a test at the conclusion of your course. A passing grade and 100% attendance is required to receive certification.
