Fly Fishing Instruction

“The gods do not subtract from the allotted span of men’s lives the hours spent in fishing.”

-Assyrian Tablet

I don’t know how many times people have said to me that they’ve always wanted to learn to fly fish but believed it to be too difficult. Fly fishing is steeped in tradition and a touch of mystery but one thing fly fishing is not is an unattainable skill.

Beginning fly fishing classes are available from Tall Man Outfitters. Classes are tailored to best suit your needs and can be one-on-one or small group instruction.

Just add water! No equipment is necessary. Everything you need is included or if you wish you may bring your own.

Full Day Intro to Fly Fishing (8 hours.)*
If you really want to start your fly fishing with a solid base of instruction I suggest the full day class. Spend four hours learning the basics of fly fishing along with a casting lesson. After lunch take to the water with your TMO guide to put your new skills to the test. $295** for one person, $350 for two. Ask for rates on larger groups.

* A deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of your class reserves your date with your instructor. Payment in full is due 30 days prior to the class date. Cancellations before 30 days prior to the class will result in a full refund of the deposit less $10 cancellation fee. A deposit and class payment will only be refunded for cancellations less than 30 days prior to the class if Tall Man Outfitters is able to re-book your date.

Tall Man Outfitters wants you to have the best possible experience on the water and we will not take you out if conditions are unsuitable. Should extreme weather or stream conditions result in Tall Man Outfitters canceling your trip we will re-book the trip or refund all payments.

Are you a member of Trout Unlimited (TU) or Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF)? Ask about the Tall Man Outfitters Instruction specials for TU & FFF members.
